HappyCake

Looks kinda interesting. Shame that the art work doesn't look up to much.

I thought the same about the character design (but I am not a big fan of space rangers with motocross helmets ala halo anyway)

except for that detail, the game looks promising and the devnotes are really an interesting read. Your Cityjam pics are quite cool, it reminds me this

Haha, our original idea for the character design was to have a style like the ride armor from Genesis Climber Mospeada. So I think that just comes down to a difference in tastes.

I actually don't like the current helmet on the guy, but in order to change it we would have to re-rig the whole mesh (because 3D Studio MAX is horrible that way) and it's too much effort to justify.

I agree though that the art needs to improve in general. We're doing what we can do about that, within our limited time and budget.

I see, I had to do a search on google to realize you were actually talking about the american macross series. (I didn't know the original title, it's not very well known in Japan I think...) but as you said it's only a difference in tastes.

The spider robot is really cool, it makes me think about tachikoma - although the style is different. It looks quite fun to interact with in the video.
