At CEDEC 2016. Q-Games programmers Jerome Liard and Akira Mitsuhashi gave a presentation on the dynamic geometry used in our new game, The Tomorrow Children!
The system uses raw regular meshes ("parts") as input for in-game real time boolean operations to build the "islands", and also as part of gameplay. We expose implementation details and try to explain the data flow and interaction with some important game systems.
Translation? This game was hard to make and looks amazing!
